The GAL 18V-40 is built for speed and efficiency. With a 4.0A charging current, it replenishes batteries significantly faster than standard chargers, bringing a GBA 18V 2.0Ah battery to 80% in just 24 minutes and a GBA 18V 4.0Ah battery to 80% in only 48 minutes . It employs a regulated dual-mode charging process that fast-charges to 80% capacity before switching to a long-life mode to safely top off the remaining 20%, protecting your battery investment by optimising cell health . An easy-to-read LED indicator keeps you informed of the charging status, including alerts for temperature interruptions or battery faults.

I ordered my Commando 35 in preference to an imported magdrill because I still believe in buying British. If the UK population won't buy British products then why should anyone else?
I was impressed with the solid build quality and functionality of the drill.
I do think that some design features could be improved on. The handles for example have the be removed to put the machine back in the case. Why not use a ratchet system? Also there is little clearance with longer bits, a taller track would have been good. Admittedly it is the entry level magdrill and despite my niggles I'm very pleased with my purchase.
As with all Ambersil products you get a quality product.
