Description

When downtime means lost productivity, the Bondloc B2001 Steel Epoxy Stick provides an instant, structural repair solution for agricultural, automotive, industrial, and domestic applications. Designed to eliminate the cost and labor of hot work or specialized welding, this steel-filled putty stick offers a convenient, two-part formulation contained in a single easy-to-use stick.

Preparation and application are straightforward: simply slice off the required amount of putty from the stick and knead it thoroughly by hand. As the internal black dye blends, the material shifts to a uniform grey color, signaling that the chemical activation is complete and ready to mold. Because the compound is formulated to resist slumping and dripping, it easily molds into vertical cracks, deep porosity holes, worn castings, or stripped bolt threads.

Bondloc B2001 is engineered for demanding conditions. It cures dependably on damp surfaces and can even be applied underwater in both salt and freshwater environments, making it ideal for patching compromised storage tanks, leaking pipes, drum containers, and marine hardware. Once hardened, the cured epoxy exhibits impressive mechanical properties, achieving a Shore D hardness of 75 and a compressive strength of 83 N/mm².

After reaching a complete cure, B2001 behaves much like solid steel. Maintenance personnel can easily machine, drill, file, sand, or tap internal threads directly into the cured material. The repair site can also be painted over to achieve a clean, professional appearance that blends into original equipment. Resistant to UV yellowing, kerosene, chlorinated solvents, and mild acids, Bondloc B2001 delivers dependable, long-term stability across challenging operating environments.
