Equip your workshop with the professional reliability of Beta 720 Series Impact Sockets. Designed specifically for use with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches, these 1/2" drive sockets are manufactured to withstand extreme torque and vibration. Whether working on automotive suspension, heavy machinery, or structural steel, the Beta 720 series offers the durability and precision required for heavy-duty fastening tasks.

High-Impact Durability: Forged from high-grade alloy steel to absorb shock and prevent shattering under load.
Precision 6-Point Hex: Accurate broaching ensures maximum contact with fasteners, reducing the risk of rounding off bolt heads.
Corrosion Protection: Finished with a durable manganese phosphate coating for resistance against rust and wear in industrial environments.

Engineered for Extreme Torque

When using power tools, standard chrome sockets are a safety hazard; they are too brittle and can shatter under the percussive blows of an impact wrench. The Beta 720 Series is engineered specifically to solve this problem. Manufactured from a specialized high-grade alloy steel, these sockets are heat-treated to achieve the perfect balance of hardness and ductility. This allows the metal to microscopicly flex and absorb the intense shockwaves generated by impact guns, transferring maximum torque to the fastener without cracking or failing. This resilience makes them the essential choice for tyre changing, suspension work, and heavy equipment maintenance.

Precision Profile and Fit

A loose socket is the quickest way to ruin a bolt head. Beta Tools is renowned for its commitment to precision, and the 720 series is no exception. Each socket features a precision-broached 6-point (hex) profile. This design focuses the turning force on the flat sides of the nut rather than the corners. By doing so, it allows for massive power transmission while virtually eliminating the risk of "rounding off" stubborn or rusted fasteners. The strict manufacturing tolerances ensure a snug fit every time, giving you confidence when breaking loose seized hardware.

Professional Safety Standards

In a busy workshop environment, safety is paramount. The Beta 720 sockets are designed with a standardized groove and through-hole at the drive end. This allows for the use of a safety pin and O-ring retention system, which locks the socket securely to the impact wrench anvil. This prevents the socket from flying off during high-speed operation—a critical safety feature when working at height or in crowded bays. Finished in a professional black manganese phosphate, these sockets not only look the part but resist the corrosion and grime typical of automotive and industrial environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use these sockets with a hand ratchet?

Yes, absolutely. While they are designed for impact guns, they work perfectly fine with hand ratchets and breaker bars. In fact, because they are made of softer, tougher steel, they are often safer for very high-torque applications than chrome sockets.

What is the difference between these and the "Deep" version?

These are "Standard" length sockets. They are compact and designed for bolts where the thread does not protrude far past the nut. "Deep" sockets (Beta 720L series) are much longer and are used for recessed bolts or nuts on long threaded studs.

Do these come with the pin and O-ring?

Typically, Beta impact sockets are sold as the socket only. The retaining pins and O-rings are consumables that can be purchased separately if your impact wrench anvil does not have a built-in friction ring or detent pin.
